VisitAarhus

Ideen er super god, men desværre ringe implementeret. I alle busserne skal vi hver eneste gang forklare gyldigheden af vores 3 gange 600 kr. Aarhuscards - det bliver lidt øv i længden, når vi kun benytter busser til transporten i de 72 timer kortet gælder. Ødelægger faktisk fornøjelsen en del ved at skulle forsvare sig ved hver buschauffør. Tænk hvis vi var udlændinge? De 20 aktiviteter syntes dog at kende conceptet fuldt ud.

Ingen info om, at her er ingen betjening kl 17:15. Åben til 22, ja det hjælper jo ikke så meget uden info om betjening.

Sehenswert für bestimmte Zielgruppen. Wir waren im Herbst dort. Die Innenstadt besteht überwiegend aus neuen Gebäuden und bietet viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Ketten). Die Stadt scheint auch ein recht üppiges Angebot an Kneipen/Feiermöglichkeiten am Abend zu haben, worauf die Flaschen und Becher vor den Lokalen "am Morgen danach" schließen lassen. Es gibt auch für Kunstinteressierte 2 schöne Museen. Am meisten konnte ich mich für den kleinen, aber trotzdem schönen botanischen Garten begeistern (kostenlos + im Sommer schöne Außenanlage). Auch die Promenade mit der Bibliothek mit einigen Künstlerprojekten draußen war ansprechend gestaltet. Ansonsten empfand ich das Tagesangebot zentral in der Innenstadt eher als überschaubar.

We are generally great fans of City cards and have used them all over the world. This card was the worst. It is vastly overpriced, only 10% cheaper than Copenhagen. The comparisons with the Copenhagen card get worse. Cannot use them on the trains. Can only use them on the buses in a small area. Not so many attractions and can only enter each attraction once. In truth Aarhus really has just 3 attractions (Art Gallery, ancient houses and Viking museum). These 3 attractions are very good indeed, but you could easily spend a day in each. Thus paying a lot more for the card is a waste of money (in my opinion)

I had such a wonderful experience with the Aarhus card! I received my card in the post, and so had it ready as I left the airport. As soon as I walked out of the main doors the bus I needed was ready and waiting. The driver immediately recognised my Aarhus card and exclaimed "Oh you have an Aarhus card what a good idea!", I jumped straight on the bus and settled in for the journey to the central station. I found I could walk around the city very easily and the people were friendly so I could ask for directions if I needed them. I visited a lot during my stay but the highlights include Den Gamle By village, The Women's Museum and ARoS (you can see the rainbow walk from all over the city, I used this as my navigation point)! I would certainly recommend the Aarhus card to anyone visiting this charming city, and whilst I have given it five stars I could easily give it 10 if google would let me!

Because of course a tourist information office should be closed on Saturday-Sunday....Aarhus you are the second largest city of DK And the European capital of culture you can do better than that!! And no a website isn't sufficient when you have tourists of 60+ coming from abroad with no internet access and who aren't as digital and tech savvy as the Danes....
